FISAF Singapore restructures

January 1st 2007
With respect to the range of clients interested in careers in the fitness industry a new tiered system of PT's has been introduced. The PT 1 is for the entry level client who desires to work their way up through the industry and has no formal academic qualifications in the allied health field. PT2's do have degrees but not in an allied health field. There are also clients with diploma's in the allied health field and in wellness management who would be recognised as PT 2. The high end PT is the PT3. This candidate has a degree in kinesiology or human movement studies and could have a background in nursing, physiotherapy or another allied health field. There main focus will be on the practical realities of working with safely and resposnsibly with clients in and out of gyms. Successful experiences in the industry will, combined with educational credits, enable candidates to maintain their certification and upgrade themselves to PT 3 and master trainers.

Fisaf Singapore is proud to be able to announce yet another partnership with the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Alumni Club who have agreed to host Fisaf courses. We have just completed a large PT training course a core fitness leader and an aqua instructor course. The staff at Ngee Ann we wonderful and the facilities exceptional. If they could only fix the rain in December it would have all been perfect! :)
A further development included discussions on master training workshops with Fitness First, Planet Fitness and Slender Shapes. We also had enjoyable conversations with Elite Fitness and Champions in Fitness on ways to work together to provide fitness services for the industry. |
