Diane Haslam

 

MSc. BPhed(Dist), Cert.Ed NSCA (CSCC), ACE (PT) Fisaf Master Trainer 

Diane is Director of Fisaf Singapore and freelance fitness educator and personal trainer. She holds a Masters degree in Exercise Pedagogy, an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics and a Diploma in Physical Education from England. Diane has taught physical education in schools, colleges and universities in England, Jamaica, Canada, Singapore and the USA. She was voted Reebok/Network Fitness Leader of the Year (by her peers in Singapore and Australia) for Singapore in 1995 following an intensive two year fitness education program at Ngee Ann Polytechnic where she taught over 1000 students each week with 100 clients in two classes each a day. She has finished third lady in the Singapore marathon in 1993 and has regularly competed in local biathlon events. She was the first lecturer and coordinator of the new Sport and Wellness Management Diploma at the School of Business, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore where she specialized in Business Communication and Fitness Education. Ian

Professor Ian Haslam, 

EdD, MBA, MA, BEd(Hon), Cert.Ed(Dist), UEFA A Soccer Coach

Ian has taught at the elementary, secondary and tertiary levels of education for 30+ years. He has played and coached soccer and squash at professional and national levels and is a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) A Licensed coach and the England Football Association Advanced Coaching Award (2002). He has coached elite young players for the Singapore Football Association as well as professional and top amateur players for more than 20 years. In 1992 he was appointed Associate Professor of Physical Education for Children and Youth and Associate Dean at the newly formed School of Physical Education, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Since then he has served as Director and Professor of a School of Health Promotion and Human Performance, a Dean of Health Sciences and Athletics and as Campus Provost of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Vancouver  (FDU-V) Canada. He is now Vice Chancellor of Emirates College for Advanced Education in Abu Dhabi. The first and only stand alone teachers college in the UAE. His research interest is in the area of teaching and learning with a particular interest sport and physical education for children and youth.
